Preparing Your Vehicle

Clean the interior and exterior before shipping; a clean car makes it easier to document existing scratches or dents, which matters for insurance. Photograph any existing damage, and remove all personal items, since most coverage won’t extend to belongings left inside the vehicle.

You’ll need title and registration to prove ownership for customs, insurance documentation, and, if the vehicle is part of a household move, a Transfer of Residence (ToR) application to potentially qualify for duty-free import.
