1.Basel

The third most populous city in Switzerland with 800 thousand people in its entire metro area, Basel is a multicultural city located where the borders of France, Switzerland, and Germany meet.  The oldest university in the country, founded in 1460, including the Museum of Fine Arts, contains the oldest art collection accessible to the public.  It is a major industrial center for the chemical and pharmaceutical industries as well.


2.Geneva

Welcome to Geneva, a 21st-century city.  The world’s most compact metropolis, nicknamed the “Peace Capital,”; has some of the highest quality of life and is one of the most expensive cities in the world.  It is a global city, a financial center, and a worldwide center for diplomacy, housing many agencies of the UN and the headquarters of the Red Cross.  Geneva is one of the most important cities in the world in terms of political and peaceful relations.

Lucerne is a beautiful city in central Switzerland that lies at the north end of Lake Lucerne. It has around 82,000 inhabitants, who for most Americans, means small town, but by Switzerland standards, it’s one of the biggest cities in the country.

Lucerne is a fine city to visit, with many attractions and natural beauty. The job market of Lucerne is also very well developed. You will find many more opportunities and high-paying jobs than in most EU countries.


5.Lugano

Lugano is not one of the most famous Swiss cities, but if you love Italian culture and still want to live in Switzerland, you’ll love it. It’s one of the largest towns with an Italian-speaking majority outside of Italy ( 62,615 inhabitants ). Lugano is one of the most important tourist destinations in Switzerland. The town is home to several historic buildings and museums, and the surrounding area is perfect for hiking and mountain biking.
